Modena Provincial Championship 2025 - "Mario Viola" Memorial

When: Friday, December 13 – Sunday, December 15
Where: Polisportiva San FaustinoVia Wiligelmo 72, Modena

Club 64 A.S.D. Modena organises the Modena Provincial Championship "Mario Viola" Memorial, valid as the Round of 16 of the 84th Italian Absolute Championship. The tournament will be valid for FIDE Elo rating changes.

Eligibility: all players from the province of Modena or from other Italian provinces holding a 2024/2025 FSI Agonistic or Junior membership card may take part, provided they are Italian citizens.

Rounds: 5, with FIDE Swiss-system pairings.
Time control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds per move with no intermediate control.
A player who arrives at the board more than 60 minutes after the start of the round will forfeit the game.

Qualification: the top 30% of players who are members of clubs in the province of Modena and hold the Prima Nazionale category or lower will qualify for the 2025 Regional Absolute Championship.

Titles at stake: the highest-placed player who is a member of a club in the province of Modena will be proclaimed 2025 Provincial Absolute Champion.

Entry fee: Euro 35 (Euro 30 for those born after 31/12/2007).
