Italian Youth Championship U18 2024 - Qualifying Tournament

Players meeting one of the following requirements may take part in the Individual Youth Championships up to 18 years of age:
a) young players of Italian citizenship;
b) young foreign players Under 18 resident in Italy who hold a certificate of attendance at a public or private school for the 2023-2024 school year; a copy of this certificate of attendance must be handed to the arbiter directing the tournament.
In addition, at the time of taking part in any event valid for the Under 18 Individual Youth Championship, the young foreign player, if holding a FIDE Elo, must be registered with FIDE as belonging to Italy.

All young players meeting the above requirements must hold the 2024 Junior membership card of the Italian Chess Federation.
12 separate individual tournaments will be played: UNDER 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and the corresponding girls' tournaments.
The tournament management reserves the right to merge tournaments of adjacent age groups in case of low participation; separate standings will in any case be drawn up for each age group.

Time control: 30’ per player; the number of rounds will be announced before the start of the tournament and will in any case be no fewer than 5.

Pre-registration is mandatory and must be made no later than 10 May 2024 on Vesus.
Entry must be confirmed in the playing hall by 14:25 on 11 May 2024 by paying a fee of 10,00 Euro.
