CIS - MASTER 2021, WorldTradingLab Club 64 at the starting line

Club 64 Modena, together with sponsor WorldTradingLab Srl, will take part in the 52nd edition of the Italian Team Championship, Master series, which will take place from 20 to 26 September 2021 in Montesilvano (PE).
The event will pit the best national players against each other and will have significant media coverage, including the online broadcast of the games with live multilingual commentary by expert professionals on the chess24.com platform, as well as through the event's official website and that of Club 64.
The yellow-and-blue team, presented in the Master 2021 section of Club 64, is made up of Grandmaster Andrea Stella (the twelfth Italian chess player in history to have obtained the highest title of Grandmaster), Grandmaster Hristos Banikas (eight-time Greek Absolute Champion and silver medallist at the 2005 Olympiad), International Masters Paolo Ladron de Guevara and Alberto Barp, FIDE Masters Francesco Seresin and Gabriele Franchini (Captain) and the young Modena prospect from the Club 64 youth ranks, Candidate Master Luca Ballotti.
After the historic eighth place obtained at the 2019 European championship, the Club 64 representatives will be committed to defending the third place nationally obtained in the 2019 Master.
Seeds of the tournament, in addition to Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova, reigning champions of Italy and Europe (no. 1 seed), are also Fischer Chieti (no. 2), Montebelluna Master (no. 3) and Marostica (no. 4). WorldTradingLab - Club 64 starts as no. 5 seed.
This year, moreover, at the end of each round, a selected game annotated in Italian by FM Gabriele Franchini will be published on the Club 64 website.
