Olga Zimina becomes 2020 Italian Online Champion!
The 2020 Italian Women's Online Championship has ended with the victory of our IM Olga Zimina, who defeated IM Marina Brunello in the final by 2.5 to 1.5 points.
The Club 64 representative had previously dominated the preliminary group with 6 points out of 7, ahead of WFM Alessia Santeramo (5/7), IM Elena Sedina (3.5/7) and WFM Marianna Raccanello (3/7), and had won in the semi-final against WFM Daniela Movileanu 3 to 1.
Club 64 congratulates Olga on this prestigious result, which enriches a record of achievements as a player at the highest national and international levels.
First among the Under 20s and sixth overall was WFM Marianna Raccanello of the Arrocco club of Rome.
The title of 2020 Italian Absolute Online Champion went to GM Alessio Valsecchi of the Cortuso club of Padova, who defeated IM Lorenzo Lodici in the final 3 to 1, while the winner in the Under 20 category was FM Edoardo Di Benedetto of the Lazio club of Rome, who won against FM Antonio Loiacono 2.5 to 1.5.
