Great success for the "Sciocola' - Festival del Cioccolato" Tournament!

Yesterday, under the arcades of piazza Mazzini in Modena, the first tournament played entirely with chocolate chess pieces took place, arousing great interest and joy among adults and children alike. We sincerely thank the organisers SGP Events for involving us in Sciocola' and for the help received in managing the event.
In 3 hours of play, no fewer than eighty children had fun on the forty boards, under the eyes of hundreds of visitors, competing for 1800 white and black chocolate chess pieces, ending the last round with a healthy feast amid general applause!
In parallel a mini-tournament among Youth Champions took place, won by the reigning Italian Under 16 Champion, 1N Melissa Maione of the Fischer club of Chieti, followed by WFM Maria Palma, 1N Cesare Wang and 3N Anastasia Sfera.
We warmly thank the arbiting staff made up of Angelo Mancini, Antonio Sfera, Massimo Maione and Lorenzo Rosa, and the many parents who gave us great help with the children.
