European Club Cup 2019: WorldTradingLab Club 64 loses in the last round of a hard-fought tournament
In the last round of the European cup, our team is defeated 5.5 to 0.5 by the strong Norwegian team Valerenga, with the individual results: Berkes-Howell 1/2-1/2, Grandelius-Lopez 1-0, Stella-Bosiocic 0-1, Predojevic-Barp 1-0, Seresin-Romanov 0-1, Kaasen-Bettalli 1-0. WorldTradingLab Club 64 finishes in fourteenth place a tournament in which our representatives fought with honour and the youngsters put to the test showed a character that bodes well for the future. The tournament is deservedly won by Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova, the only team on a perfect score, which dominated the competition from the first round to the last. In the women's tournament, Olga Zimina loses against IM Zhansaya Abdumalik in the last round, in which the Italian team is beaten 3 to 1 by the Ukrainians of Kyiv Chess Federation, finishing the competition in ninth place. The tournament is won by the Georgian team Nona, with a score of 4 wins and 3 draws.
