Chess Champ Camp in Bagolino concluded

The Compagnia della Torre, in collaboration with #club64, organised a chess retreat in Bagolino in the mountains of Brescia from 18 to 24 June, an excellent opportunity for a week's holiday practising chess ahead of the youth nationals in Scalea.

36 youngsters joined in, giving life to a truly unique experience: 4 hours of chess a day, walks in the woods, astronomical observations, educational visits to the mountain dairies and even an evening of play in the village square to introduce the curious to the noble game.

The camp instructors were the formidable Daniele Almici, Claudio Serricano and Patrizio Interlandi, who trained the youngsters divided into three groups based on the level certified by an entry test.

On the last day a fun 5-round open tournament at a flat 30 minutes was held, in which the camp youngsters, their older siblings and even a few parents took part. But the great thing was the group of parents who, through a group chat of 50 / 60 people, managed to organise a barbecue of salamina, Bagoss cheese, salads, desserts, watermelon and coffee for all participants at the token price of 2 euros per person.

Club 64 thanks Almici for proposing the collaboration for this camp, establishing a solid partnership that we hope may lead to a twinning.
