1st Alakatabuyaaa concluded
On Sunday 28 October the 1st Alakatabuyaaa tournament took place at the main #club64 premises in via Wiligelmo 72, Modena.
It is the first time we have organised a 30' + 30'' tournament reserved for under-1600s and valid for standard Elo rating changes; we are pleased, but we would have expected a larger turnout.
The tournament was won by Alberto Vergara with a perfect score, followed by 2N Rossi Davide, Maria Vittoria Galli and Samuel Barbari on 3.5 points, ordered by tie-break.
Due to an error we were unable to upload the results to Vesus, so I am sending you the standings drawn up by the arbiter Luciano Panini, whom we warmly thank because without his help we would not have been able to play.
We will certainly hold more of these tournaments in Modena soon, which in our opinion are excellent for gaining experience and above all cost much less than a normal tournament, both in terms of money and time.
In any case, we held the 1st tournament and saw that it is feasible: starting at 9:00 in the morning we managed to finish by 18:00 with an hour and a half lunch break.
Thanks to the newly appointed youth manager Luca Ricchi for coming in the morning to help us get the tournament started.
