Saturday Initiatives, 3rd stage held (bughouse)
The second bughouse tournament took place on Saturday 26 November 2016 at 16:00 at the Club 64 premises. We managed to eliminate the “bye” thanks to the goodwill (read: spirit of sacrifice) of 2 parents who formed the “Genitori senza voglia” team without ever having seen or met each other and, above all, barely knowing the rules of the game, and who moreover did their duty to the full, since they lost all their games. During the tournament there was a blackout affecting the sports club, but the players did not stop: the laptop used for the pairings had a fully charged battery, and when the emergency lights ran out some friends used their mobile phone lights as torches until the power came back. The tournament was won with a perfect score by Roberto Mocanu and Dario Vergara with the team “Imegalakai”, closely followed by Luca Ricchi and Mattia Sfera (the big pre-tournament favourites), whose team “I 2 soliti idioti” finished second, hard on their heels “Quella cavalla li” of Lorenzo Viola and Fabio Gucciardo, who took third place. Arbiters of the event were Riccardo Mocanu and Marcos Vergara. We look forward to seeing you all for the final stage, which will take place at the GS of Vignola as the first of a cycle of 3 youth meetings that we have decided to call the “triathlon”.
