Enrico Giuntini and Sofia Marinelli win in Marano
On Sunday 25 September, in the charming setting of piazza Matteotti in the shade of the oak tree, the Marano sul Panaro tournament took place, involving 31 players divided into an adult tournament and a youth tournament. The adult tournament was won by the young Enrico Giuntini, followed by Walter Maran on tie-break, with David Dolci finishing third overall. The youth tournament was dominated by Sofia Marinelli, who totalled 6 points out of 7. The podium was completed by Francesco Gazzotti and Silvia Giuntini. Heartfelt thanks from the organisers to all the parents who spontaneously helped to dismantle everything at the end of the tournament, showing considerable interest in the club's activities. At the end of the day our friend David Dolci gave a short talk entitled "How chess teaching has changed in the internet era".
