Pavesi and Cioni the winners of the CERG in Soliera

Last Saturday 11 April the eighth 2015 CERG event of the Modena provincial circuit took place in Soliera. A total of 34 young Emergenti and 21 young Talenti at the starting line, for a total of 55 participants in the tournament. Among the Emergenti, the tournament was won on tie-break by Alessandro Pavesi with 5.5 points out of 6, ahead of Matteo Cocchi (5.5) and Daniele Lugli (5). The young Talenti tournament was won by Francesco Cioni with 5.5 points out of 6; second was Alessandro Angeli (5) and third Jacopo Lancellotti (4.5). The overall standings after the first 8 tournaments are available on the CERG page of the website. In the overall schools standings Palestrina of Modena is in first place with 110 points, ahead of Deledda of Gaggio (92.5) and Bersani of Albareto (77.5). In the overall Emergenti standings Alessandro Pavesi (72 points) is still firmly in the lead, ahead of Matteo Grigoli (64) and Matteo Cocchi (52.5). The overall Talenti standings are led by Luca Ballotti (71.5 points), closely followed by Michele Melotti (70.5) and Francesco Cioni (64). We look forward to seeing many of you at the ninth stage in Solignano on Sunday 26 April.
