Pavesi and Ballotti the winners of the CERG in Marano

Last Sunday 8 February the fifth 2015 CERG event of the Modena provincial circuit took place in Marano sul Panaro. A total of 41 young Emergenti and 24 young Talenti at the starting line, for a total of 65 participants in the tournament. Among the Emergenti, Alessandro Pavesi dominated the tournament with 6 points out of 6, ahead of Matteo Ballotti (5) and Matteo Grigoli (5). Luca Ballotti dominated the young Talenti tournament with 6 points out of 6; second was Francesco Cioni (4.5) and third Michele Melotti (4). The overall standings after the first 5 tournaments are available on the CERG page of the website. In the schools standings a head-to-head is shaping up between Deledda of Gaggio (70 points) and Palestrina of Modena (68 points). In the overall Emergenti standings Alessandro Pavesi has pulled away: with his 72 total points he already has a 14-point margin over the runner-up. The fight for first place in the overall Talenti standings is still open; it is currently led by Michele Melotti (70.5 points), just 2.5 points ahead of Luca Ballotti (68 points).
