M Lapenna wins the Pescantina blitz mini-marathon

A fair total number of participants in the 18-round blitz mini-marathon at the "Alle Caprette" park in Pescantina (VR). The event was organised jointly by Italia Scacchistica and Club 64. Many titled players at the starting line, confirming the excellent technical level of the event. A head-to-head throughout the tournament between the home player, FIDE Master Valerio Luciani, and Master Antonio Lapenna. Both finished with 16.5 points out of 18. Master Lapenna prevailed by half a Buchholz point. Second was FM Luciani, with Master Alessandro Guerra on the lowest step of the podium.
