M Lapenna wins the 7th stage of the Lampi Estivi

The participation record of the 2015 Lampi Estivi was beaten by a wide margin in the seventh stage, which recorded no fewer than 33 (!!!) participants in total, including as always a high number of players of master level. Surprisingly, many under 10s were present, their participation encouraged by the summer closure of schools. The tournament was won by Master Antonio Lapenna, who finished with 8 points out of 10. The surprise runner-up (with 7 points) was the very young Arman Baradaran (just 11 years old), resident in the United States and on holiday in Florence these days. Candidate Master Fabrizio Frigieri (7 points) took third place. We look forward to seeing even more of you at the eighth event on Thursday 25 June.
