Zimina and Ballista shine in Montesilvano
A great performance by WGM Olga Zimina and 1N Massimiliano Ballista in Open A (38 players) of the 1st Montesilvano International Easter Festival, held from 18 to 21 April and divided into three different tournaments. Olga finished second overall (with 5 points out of 6) behind GM Horvath Csaba, starting as seed number 5 and achieving a performance of 2512 Elo points. A great tournament also for Massimiliano, who achieved a performance of 2100 Elo points and finished in 18th place, starting from as low as seed number 35. A good tournament also for the very young Cesare Wang, who starting from last in the seeding improved on his initial ranking by 7 places and finished the tournament gaining Elo points.
