WGM Olga Zimina wins the 7th stage of the 2014 Lampi Estivi

The seventh stage of the 2014 Lampi Estivi in Sassuolo recorded an all-time participation record, with a total of 24 participants, no fewer than 8 of them of master category. WGM Olga Zimina (in her first appearance in the 2014 circuit) wins the tournament, finishing with 9 points out of 10. Second on tie-break FIDE Master Valerio Luciani from Verona (9) and third Master Antonio Lapenna (7.5). Luca Barillaro prevails in the 2000-2200 band, Marco Benincasa in the 1800-2000 band, Francescantonio Buccella in the 1600-1800 band, Antonio Fiore in the 1450-1600 band and Alessandro Biacchi in the band below 1450.
