M Lapenna dominates the 4th stage of the 2014 Lampi Estivi

The fourth stage of the 2014 Lampi Estivi in Sassuolo recorded a participation record with a total of no fewer than 23 participants, 11 of them titled or of master category. Master Antonio Lapenna wins the tournament and repeats his success of the second event, finishing with 9.5 points out of 10 and leaving the runner-up no fewer than 2.5 points behind. Second FIDE Master Gabriele Franchini (7) and third FIDE Master Valerio Luciani from Verona (6.5). Marco Vincenzi prevails in the 2000-2200 band, Michelangelo Lapenna in the 1800-2000 band, Alfo Rossi in the 1600-1800 band, Enrico Storchi in the 1450-1600 band and Alessandro Biacchi in the band below 1450.
