Giuntini and Cioni the winners of the Soliera CERG

The traditional CERG youth tournament, valid as the sixth event of the 2014 Modena provincial circuit, was held on Saturday 5 April in Soliera. In total 60 young chess players were present at the tournament (51 young Emergenti and 9 young Talenti). Among the Emergenti, Enrico Giuntini wins the tournament with a perfect score of 6 points out of 6, ahead of Alessio Musaj (5) and Roberto Mocanu (5). Francesco Cioni wins the young Talenti tournament with 6 points out of 6, also finishing the tournament with a perfect score; second Luca Ballotti (4.5) and third Simone Cacchioli (4.5). In the overall schools standings the Palestrina institute now seems out of reach. The dominators of the sixth stage, Giuntini and Cioni, also lead the circuit's overall standings with a good margin over their pursuers.
