FM Valerio Luciani dominates the first stage of the 2014 TDT

The traditional Torneo dei Tanti 2014, now in its eleventh edition, began on Thursday 20 February. Fair participation at the first stage in Sassuolo, which recorded 12 players. As always the level of the tournament was very high, with no fewer than 8 players out of 12 of master category. FIDE Master Valerio Luciani from Verona dominates the circuit's opening tournament, finishing with a perfect score of 6 points out of 6. Second FIDE Master Gabriele Franchini (4.5) and third on tie-break Candidate Master Fabrizio Frigieri (3.5). Paolo Sarti wins the 1N-2N prize and Osvaldo Calveri the 3N-NC one.
