End-of-course school tournament in Soliera concluded

The by-now traditional end-of-course school tournament was held last Saturday 1 February at the Garibaldi primary school in Soliera and the Menotti primary school in Limidi. The courses at the Institute are run by Club 64 thanks to the collaboration and commitment of the ARCI of Soliera, which has supported the project for years. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs Pina of the ARCI of Soliera and to Luciano Panini, who make this collaboration possible and fruitful. Every year many youngsters come to and grow passionate about the game of chess thanks to this initiative. In addition, the courses and the final tournament were held under the patronage of the Municipality of Soliera, which attended the prize-giving through the Councillor for Sport Maurizio Andreoli. The school's Headmaster was also present at the prize-giving. The tournament was won by the young Alessio Musaj, who finished with a perfect score of 6 points out of 6. Second Samuele Borgonovi (5.5) and third on tie-break Davide Ciocci (5). In the special class standings, class 4D of the Garibaldi school finished first on tie-break, with the same score as the second, class 4B of the Menotti school. Third place for class 4C of the Garibaldi institute.
