CM Walter Paoli wins the 7th Giochi e Ritorni open

Candidate Master Walter Paoli wins Club 64's traditional 2014 Giochi e Ritorni open for the third consecutive year. Paoli finished the tournament with 5.5 points out of 6, conceding only half a point to his opponents. Second overall with 5 out of 6 the young Francesco Ferraguti (born 1997), who with the points gained will be deservedly promoted to Candidate Master at the next Elo update. A great tournament for the veteran Giuseppe Dorati, who starting from seed number 12 improved by no fewer than 9 places and finished with 4 points out of 6 in third place overall. The band prizes were won by 2N Gabriele Codazzi (1700-1900 band, 4 points), 2N Isacco Faglioni (1500-1700 band, 3 points) and NC Alessandro Ligabue (band below 1500, 4 points).
