CM Marco Vincenzi 2015 provincial champion

Candidate Master Marco Vincenzi won the Modena absolute provincial championship and is the 2015 provincial champion. This is Marco's fourth provincial championship title; he finished the tournament unbeaten with 4.5 points out of 5. Second on tie-break was Candidate Master Walter Paoli, who is the provincial vice-champion. Third overall was Candidate Master Giorgio Modena, after an excellent tournament. In addition to the candidate masters already qualified by right, those qualified from the province of Modena for the 2015 absolute regional championship are Andrea Sacchetti, Roberto Setti, Massimiliano Ballista and Isacco Faglioni. The 2015 edition of the Provincial Championship was dedicated for the second time to the memory of our friend Mario Viola, who won this tournament in 2004. The Modena provincial championship will be dedicated to his memory in future editions too. As last year, his daughter Sara, his wife Lina and his brother Ugo attended the prize-giving ceremony.
