CM Frigieri wins the 7th stage of the 2014 TDT with a perfect score

The seventh stage in Sassuolo recorded the participation of 13 players, 6 of them of master category. Candidate Master Fabrizio Frigieri, particularly inspired in the Sassuolo stages, wins the tournament at the Baraonda for the second consecutive time with a perfect score, scoring 6 points out of 6. Second place for Candidate Master Walter Paoli (4.5) and third on tie-break Candidate Master Marco Benincasa (4). Roberto Setti wins the 1N-2N prize and Lorenzo Viola the 3N-NC one. In the overall standings after 7 tournaments FM Valerio Luciani (27.5) has already mathematically won the 2014 circuit. CM Frigieri, with the 6 points from the penultimate stage, takes a big step forward towards securing second place overall in the circuit and moves to 24 points in total, 2 points ahead of third, CM Paoli (22). Chasing a final place on the podium are CM Vincenzi and CM Benincasa, both with 20 points. Don't miss the grand finale scheduled in Modena for Thursday 10 April.
