CM Frigieri wins the 5th stage of the TDT with a perfect score

The fifth stage in Sassuolo recorded the participation of 13 players, 7 of them of master category. This time it was Candidate Master Fabrizio Frigieri who pulled off the feat of taking the tournament with a perfect score. Second place for FIDE Master Valerio Luciani (5) and third the reigning Modena provincial champion, 1N Andrea Sacchetti (3.5). Roberto Setti wins the 1N-2N prize and Paolo Pavesi the 3N-NC one. In the overall standings after 5 tournaments Luciani (27.5) has left everyone far behind, with no fewer than 6.5 points' lead over second place, CM Frigieri (21). Third at the moment CM Vincenzi (18). We look forward to seeing many of you at the sixth stage in Modena on Tuesday 25 March.
