Cioni and Peri the winners of the Solignano CERG

The traditional CERG youth tournament, valid as the seventh and penultimate event of the 2014 Modena provincial circuit, was held on Sunday 27 April in Solignano. In total 60 young chess players were present at the tournament (45 young Emergenti and 15 young Talenti). Among the Emergenti, Pietro Peri wins the tournament with 5 points out of 6, ahead of Ludovico Carlino (5) and Andrea Zanasi (5). Francesco Cioni wins the young Talenti tournament with 5 points out of 6, ahead of Dionis Hodo (4.5) and Luca Ballotti (4.5). The overall schools and individual standings after the first 7 tournaments will shortly be published on the CERG page of the website. Next appointment Sunday 25 May in Vignola.
