32-0 for Erdos in the two simultaneous exhibitions of 5 May
Last Monday 5 May the Hungarian Grandmaster Viktor Erdos (2651), fresh from the 2014 Master division with the Club 64 team, gave two chess simultaneous exhibitions at the association's premises. The first, in the classic form of the traditional chess simul, was held in the afternoon and saw the participation of 21 players ranging in level from unrated to Candidate Master. Erdos finished with a perfect score of 21 wins out of 21 games. In the evening the Hungarian GM gave a second simul against 11 opponents of excellent level, including FM Franchini and CMs Vincenzi and Frigieri. The second simul was played with clocks and the GM had one hour and 30 minutes plus thirty seconds per move against one hour and thirty seconds per move for his opponents. The result was the same and, considering the playing strength of the opponents, the 11-0 score was even more impressive. At the end of the games Viktor, with great generosity, analysed some of the games played, giving very useful advice and suggestions to everyone.
