FM Valerio Luciani wins the last event of the TDT and takes the 2013 circuit

FIDE Master Valerio Luciani from Verona takes the eighth and last event of the 2013 Torneo dei Tanti with 5 points out of 6. Second place went to CM Fabrizio Frigieri with 4,5 points and third overall to 1N Francesco Ferraguti (4,5). Federico Malagò (3,5) wins among the 1N-2N and Paolo Pavesi (3) among the 3N-NC. Valerio Luciani also takes the final 2013 circuit with no fewer than 27 points, a full 4,5 lengths ahead of runner-up CM Fabrizio Frigieri (22,5). Third overall in the circuit CM Marco Benincasa with 20 points. Valerio dominated the 2013 circuit, remaining unbeaten in the 30 games played and winning all 5 of the tournaments he took part in. The substantial prize in kind for the final winner was therefore more than deserved.
