FM Valerio Luciani returns to winning ways in the 7th blitz stage

Evidently on form from the Maranello Closed tournament in full swing, FIDE Master Valerio Luciani returns to winning ways in the seventh blitz stage in Cavezzo. The final score of 9 out of 10 is certainly enhanced by the presence of opponents of international level such as WGM Olga Zimina (no. 1 seed) and the young FM Martin Istvanowsky, also playing in the Maranello Closed tournament valid for IM norms. Second overall WGM Olga Zimina (8,5/10), half a point ahead of third-placed Istvanovsky. The Cavezzo stage recorded the participation record of the 2013 circuit, with no fewer than 17 present. Thanks to our friends at the Lolli for their willingness and hospitality. We look forward to seeing many of you at the seventh stage on Thursday 27 June at the Baraonda in Sassuolo (MO).
