FM Michelangelo Scalcione wins the Guiglia rapid tournament
With a commanding 8.5 out of 9, FIDE Master Michelangelo Scalcione wins the 9th "Città di Guiglia" rapid open, held on Sunday 20 October, as is traditional in the castle of the historic centre. Second overall FM Andrea Cocchi (8) and third FM Artem Gilevich (7.5). The top 3 places were thus taken by the Region's top 3 rapid players, who have dominated the regional rapid circuit for years.
