Club 64 at the Meeting della Rinascita
Club 64 was invited to the opening of the Meeting della Rinascita, celebrated at the sports centre in Crevalcore last Friday 24 May. The meeting (24 May - 2 June) features non-Olympic sports to support the revival of the areas hit by the earthquake a year ago. The event, which also saw Josefa Idem present at the opening ceremony, is organised by the “Nolympic Sporting Games” and will bring around 3,000 athletes from 18 non-Olympic and non-Paralympic sports to 5 Municipalities (Crevalcore, Cento, Pieve di Cento, Finale Emilia and Sant’Agostino). Present at the opening ceremony were Club 64 President Fabrizio Frigieri and member Giancarlo Minelli, who lives in the area and promoted the initiative. A collaboration is under way between our association and the municipality of Crevalcore, which is interested in promoting the game of chess in schools and through specific courses for adults.
