CIS 2013: promotions for Matto Strozzato, Polerio Vignola and Modena Senior
After Modena 2's safety in A1 and Chaturanga's second place in the mid-March CIS group gatherings, more satisfaction comes from the 2013 Italian team championship. Historic promotion for Matto Strozzato to Serie B in group C13. The architects of the success were the young Francesco Ferraguti, Luca Tazzioli, Davide Carletti, Mattia Simonini, Massimiliano Ballista and Cesare Wang, superbly led by captain Roberto Simonini. Promotion came from behind and was achieved thanks to the decisive win in the fifth-round head-to-head against Ippogrifo Pro. Another important promotion comes from the historic Polerio Vignola group, who led group ER2 from the first round and have earned Serie C in CIS 2014. The architects of the success were Giovanni Barbieri, Davide Grandi, Gianluigi Rebizzani, Carlo Alberto Cavazzoni, Antonio Ara and Luca Ravazzini, led by the irreplaceable Antonio Sfera. The Modena Senior team (Viola, Rossi, Dorati, Di Trapani, Cianassi, Boschesi and Panini) is also promoted to Serie C, reinstated as the best runner-up of the 3 Promozione groups. Congratulations!
