16th Modena Rapid 2012

Great turnout at the 16th edition of the traditional "Città di Modena" rapid 2012: no fewer than 115 players took part. The event was valid as the final tournament of the 2012 Regional Rapid Championship. Grandmaster Roland Salvador from Milan won, with a surprise second place for FIDE Master Valerio Luciani from Verona and third place for "home" WGM Olga Zimina. Fourth overall was Master Artem Gilevych from Bologna.
