M Lapenna dominates the 11th stage of the Lampi Estivi
Master Antonio Lapenna dominated, with 10 points out of 10, the eleventh stage of the 2016 Lampi Estivi, held in Modena. Excellent overall participation, with the presence of 25 players in total, including many under 16s. Second, on tie-break over the third, was Master Luca Barillaro with 7 points out of 10. The podium was completed by Candidate Master Fabrizio Frigieri with 7 points. With just one stage to go before the end of the circuit, Master Lapenna now has the mathematical certainty of the final victory in the 2016 edition of the Lampi Estivi, leading the overall standings with 68 points (second Barillaro with 57 and third Benincasa with 52.5). Next appointment for the grand finale in Modena on Tuesday 26 July for the twelfth and final stage of the circuit.
