Great performance by IM Paolo Vezzosi in Padua
International Master Paolo Vezzosi, for over 10 years a member and regular player in Club 64's CIS Master and A1 teams, has just finished the Padua international tournament with a brilliant Elo performance of 2473 points (16th overall starting as no. 29 seed). Paolo finished the tournament with 5.5 points out of 9, losing only the last game against multiple Italian champion GM Michele Godena. Worth noting are the brilliant draws against GMs Lajthajm, Lazic and Delchev and the wins against IMs Mrdja and Valsecchi. With this result Paolo gained over two K and remained in the running until the last round for a prestigious Grandmaster norm. Congratulations from all his friends at Club 64.
