Clock simultaneous exhibition by GM Viktor Erdos (2641)

Last 2 May, at the Club 64 venue, a clock simultaneous exhibition was played by the strong Hungarian GM Viktor Erdos (Elo 2641) against 9 Club 64 players, some of them of an excellent level. Erdos had 2 hours plus 30 seconds per move to finish the game and his opponents had one hour and thirty minutes plus 30 seconds per move. The Grandmaster proposed a draw of lots against each player to decide the colours, thus agreeing to play several games with black and showing great willingness. The final score of 9 to 0 was disarming, as was the calm with which the GM literally disposed of all his opponents. It should be noted that Erdos finished all the games with plenty of time still on the clock, unlike his opponents. The simultaneous exhibition began at 18:00 and ended at 21.30. The evening ended with a dinner on the premises of the Polisportiva, during which Viktor was very approachable and friendly with all the friends of Club 64, entertaining those present with anecdotes from his chess career at the highest international level.
